You read that right; I'm all those things and then some while running a business. Some think I'm crazy, others say ambitious, but myself, I just find myself trying to change the narrative. We are given one life to live, we can waste time, do nothing, and be lazy, or you can do something great, something everyone will remember, and truly make the world a better place. Our world is nothing short of chaos these days and being able to change that view by making others happy should be the easiest choice, at least it is to me. As a server its going out of my way to make the children at my tables laugh, feel seen, and heard, while the parents have the chance to reconnect with one another. Choosing law as my major is to help those fight for justice, to give voices to those who cannot speak, and to advocate for real victims, while putting away those who choose to lie, cheat, and deceive. Now becoming a stepparent, or bonus mom as my stepson calls me, was never how I saw myself becoming a parent, but the fight for my stepson and his well-being is something I would never change. Watching him grow into such a strong intelligent young man makes me so proud. Hearing him say "I'm so happy," everyday just makes me feel like I'm doing something right.

I can go on to talk about my non-profit or talk about the many topics I'm an advocate for, but as a photographer I actually get to see the happiness develop in front of me. I wanted to be different in this industry; I wanted to make others remember who held the camera and why they choose me.  One very important fact about my business is this; I can't justify deleting memories. Something that has always bothered me as a client was, "what happens to the photos you don't buy?" They get deleted, into the void, gone forever. All the effort put into the outfit, the hair, the whole look, just to get maybe 20 pictures at a high price. I would always love the photos I got, but my overthinking mind would always wonder back to the other poses I did, the other moments during the shoot, the thought of the entire shoot itself. I'm left thinking "was that worth what I paid?" I'm also not one to complain about a service, so I just suck it up and enjoy my handful of photos and then try to recover financially. We all know the importance of photos, of capturing memories, and sometimes doing it ourselves is never the best answer. You either get left out of most pictures because you're the one taking them all, or God forbid you hand the camera to a loved one they find every bad angle you have. (Seriously Trevor, I love you, but you find every. Single. Bad. Angle. I love you but stop it.)

These memories are meant to be saved, loved, and cherished over time. Not deleted, not charged more for, and I wanted to be a photographer that changed that. When you hire me, you're buying my time, not my editing talent. That is something that comes with my title as a photographer, I have that skill to make the photos look polished and presentable. Time is something that we don't have unlimited access to, and it's something we shouldn't take for granted. That's why you pay for my time, not my talent. You deserve every moment I capture in the time we have together, and that's exactly what I do. How ever many photos I can successfully take, edit clearly, and produce to you is what you will receive in the end. You don't get charged for the rest of the photos because I give you everything I took, just edited and polished. I won't be upset if you ask for an edit change or if something needs to be fixed. I simply ask to be treated with respect, kindness, and curtesy. This industry is expensive and most families don't always get the opportunity to have nice photos, that's why working with all budgets is something that I'm ok with because I know what that is like.  The contract I provide will protect not only myself, but you and your photos as well.

I'm a firm believer in making things possible and spreading joy to those around me. I like to make things fun, silly, and will do what I need to bring you out of your awkward bubble, because I'm like weird barbie from the barbie movie. There always has to be one and I don't mind being the weird one with an action plan to make you laugh, smile, and feel comfortable in front of the camera. Photos are supposed to be fun, happy memories, not stressful or finically devastating.

Let's go out into nature, go to the studio, travel to the beach, go up the mountain, and get the dang shot! You only live once and our memories speed past us before we even know it. Plan the outfit, do the cosplay, build the props, wear the costume, and let's go! Let's get weird because life is boring in the normal lane, this girl drives a jeep and she's ready to rock climb to strange and unusual territories to get the perfect photo!
